ACCESS SPORT
EVERY CHILD SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLAY WEEKEND SPORT,
NO MATTER THEIR FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES.

Learn more about the need for sportsconcession scheme in Victoria.

Weekend sport comes with a lot of expenses, including club fees, equipment and uniforms. This puts it outside the reach of many families. States like Western Australia have implemented concession schemes to help children from financially disadvantaged backgrounds join sporting clubs. But Victoria has no such scheme. Victoria should establish a scheme to subsidise club membership costs for children and young people for whom cost is a barrier.
On Saturday October 22nd, to mark Anti-Poverty Week, the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre will open its doors to kids who don't usually get the chance to play weekend sport.

Get involved on the day, and join the campaign to ensure all Victorian children can #accesssport
